Speaking on ‘America Now’ Thursday night, host Buck Sexton blasted GOP lawmakers over their total inability to “get stuff done,” slamming Republican legislators for making excuse after excuse while stalling on President Trump’s agenda.
“What would you say you do here, Republican Congress?” asked Buck. “They have these staffs and they’re paid salaries to come up with legislation, and when in the majority pass legislation that will better the lives of the American people.”
“What we get is a lot of them appearing on cable television, they like their faces on the television screens but they don’t like to get stuff done. They can always blame somebody else,” he added. “If we allow the Republican Congress to not have some degree of collective criticism, if we can’t say that they are failing, they will say, ‘It’s not me, it’s this group of five Republicans in moderate states.’”
“Then what’s the point? There will never be any accountability. They have to figure out how to make it work. They said they would, they made promises. They made verbal promises that are legally binding,” Sexton said.
“They promised us that they would do things, and now it’s time for them to do them and so far, we have not seen much that they’re going to pull that off,” he added.
