Speaking on ‘America Now’ Tuesday, host Buck Sexton slammed Hillary Clinton and the DNC over allegations they had financed the opposition research firm behind the infamous ‘Trump Dossier,’ adding they were the same people who attacked Donald Trump Jr. over a meeting he had in Trump Tower with a Russian lawyer.
“Fusion GPS is this opposition research firm that was hired by the DNC and the Clinton campaign to find dirt on Trump. They subcontracted to Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence officer to use his connections in Russia to come up with this whole narrative of Trump having shady Russia connections,” said Buck.
“We have been told that the Trump administration was gathering together with a lawyer in the offices of Trump Tower in New York City and this created a huge stir and many in the media and many Democrats were suggesting it was the iron-clad, smoking-gun evidence of collusion,” Sexton said.
“The whole notion of getting information from a foreign source to discredit your political opponent in the United States was considered by Democrats to be unacceptable; treasonous they even said,” said Buck.
“Now someone needs to explain this to me. If that is the standard under which we are supposed to operate in this country, explain why it would be alright for a US firm to contract a foreigner to get information from Russians and use that information,” he added.
