National radio host Buck Sexton called-out the mainstream media’s pathetic attempt to spin the Virginia gubernatorial race as a major win for Democrats; ignoring the fact that a liberal governor was “simply replacing” a previous liberal governor.
“I have to say, so much of the analysis that’s out there is people that are trying to get their audiences, their readers fired-up, and they assume there won’t be any scrutiny applied to whatever they say,” said Buck.
“Case in point, ‘Look at how Virginia’s changed so much, a victory by a Democrat in Virginia.’ There’s already Terry McAuliffe who’s a democrat. So, the reality here is you have the replacement of a Democrat with another Democrat,” he added.
“Virginia went blue in the last election. Virginia is a purple-to-blue state that’s getting bluer all the time because of a demographic change that’s underway. Virginia’s now becoming -from an electoral perspective- colonized by DC… It’s a changing state. This is not a massive shock,” Sexton said.
“There was a lot of the celebration of the diversity that was on display from the Democrat side, including the first transgender delegate in the country won, the first out-Lesbian delegate in the state won, the first Asian woman delegate in the state, the first two Latina delegates in the state won,” he added. “The media loves this because the media has not just agreed with but has been part of the chorus of ‘Diversity over all else’ for a long time.”
“Diversity of ideas is not what they’re talking about. It’s diversity of sexual orientation, skin color, ethnicity, and apparently socialists,” said Buck.
