HIGH STAKES POKER: Trump Doubles Down on Trade, North Korea, Mueller in ONE WEEK

President Trump doubled-down on three major issues facing his presidency last week; rebuking his own party on massive steel tariffs, taking on North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, and announcing his plans to meet with special counsel Robert Mueller to help wrap-up the ongoing Russian investigation.
“Trump, not content to look just at the issue of global trade and take-on China, but also to add North Korea into the mix, and then announcing [White House] lawyers are seeking a deal with Mueller to get the Russia probe to finally finish up,” said Buck Sexton.
“This is high-stakes poker. This is the President of the United States who’s going against all the conventional wisdom on trade, who’s perhaps going to negotiate one of the most important national security détentes in decades with North Korea… and on top of that he’s willing to deal on the issue of his own presidency,” he added.
“To put the presidency at stake by saying, ‘I’ll sit down with Mueller. I’ve got nothing to hide, I’m not scared. Bring it,’” Sexton said. “If this happens this is Trump just calling-out all of the haters, the doubters, the undermining of Trump by all of these individuals. “
