“If you give me your time, you’ll know more about the conflict in Afghanistan by the end of the show than any other show will give you today.” That was Buck's solemn vow to his audience to lead off Friday's show, and he honored it with the third deep dive of the week into important international hot zones. (Previous entrants were Syria on Wednesday and North Korea on Thursday.)
"The Taliban has every reason to lie about what's happening in these districts," Roggio said. "And they're not."
In her new book, "This Fight Is Our Fight," Senator Elizabeth Warren discusses being pressured by Progressives in the Democratic Party to run for President in 2016, and gives her ultimate reason for refusing.
Thursday's show began with an overview of the MOAB: the "mother of all bombs/massive ordinance air blast" that was dropped on a network of tunnels in Eastern Afghanistan, near the Pakistan border. "Yes, it might have been very useful for destroying tunnels that ISIS has dug," Buck began. "But people say this also is a signal, a signal to dictators around the world that there is no tool the government is unwilling to use. The reinstating of 'all options are on the table, but we mean it.'"
