SESSIONS ON BUCK: President Trump is Focused on ‘HARDENING’ Schools
Posted On 13 Mar 2018 /
Attorney General Jeff Sessions stopped by ‘The Buck Sexton Show’ Monday night, outlining the President’s proposals to “harden” schools from future mass shootings; saying Trump has the federal government reviewing all options to help reduce the violence.
“Tell me a bit about where we are right now on trying to make school safer. It’s obviously been the biggest conversation in the country over the last few weeks. Where are we on this right now?” asked Buck.
“The President issued today an order; in fact, he’s got the whole government focused on this. He’s really an effective leader,” said Sessions. “He talked about hardening schools. He believes they have to be protected because responding is often just too late.”
“You only have seconds when these situations occur, and minutes are often too late. The President supports that, and we want to enhance the ‘Say Something’ situation,” added the Attorney General. “That will work, but we’ve got to figure out a way that it doesn’t fall through the cracks when you have these warnings.”
