On Monday’s show, Buck brought on TheBlaze’s Matt Walsh, author of “The Unholy Trinity” — which Buck’s mother allegedly enjoyed.
Buck asked about a piece Matt wrote titled “The insanity in our culture is your fault if you don’t speak against it,” that addressed a transgender girl who competed against other, ahem, biological girls in a track meet, winning with a time that wouldn’t have placed in the boys’ category.
“The thing that jumped out to me about this story is how nobody’s saying anything,” said Walsh. “Where are the parents who are outraged about their girls being cheated out of their accomplishment? I read a sportswriter who raised some questions, but said, we should celebrate the accomplishments of this transgender person. All of us have remained silent in the face of this craziness.”
Buck discussed his theory of a continuum, from tolerance, to celebration to submission. “And Matt, I’d say, we’re there [at submission]. Fellow high school students aren’t allowed to voice their opinions, saying that girls shouldn’t compete against a guy. I’ll bet you face sanctions if you speak out.”
“That was one of the most heartbreaking aspects of this story. The girl who came in second, she’s being interviewed and she says, ‘I can’t say what I want to say. But it’s frustrating.’ She’s forced to submit to this boy who’s come in and appropriated her identity and stolen her accomplishment from her, and she’s not allowed to say anything. Where are the feminists on this?”
