The media is always trying to sell you something.
Joe Biden, a politician who has been in Washington for 47 years, was somehow repackaged and sold to the American public as the chosen one to restore order to a system that was left in shambles by the Trump administration.
But the only problem is—once again—is the public been sold a bill of goods.
Buck Sexton, the host of “The Buck Sexton Show,” said Friday that—assuming Biden’s win is certified—it will take the media about six months before you start to hear about the effectiveness of his eco-friendly administration.
“I find it fascinating, the idea of a return to what was normalcy,” Sexton said. He asked if they aim for a return to the way things were under President Obama. (Obama, in 2018, was caught on tape telling a small group in Boston, “We didn’t have a scandal that embarrassed us. I know that seems like a low bar. Generally speaking, you didn’t hear about a lot of drama inside our White House.”)
Sexton said that if the Obama presidency is the bar, we’re looking at a return to “a disastrous foreign policy and anemic economic recovery out of a recession and a lot of just reckless demagoguery around police and around racism in America.”
“Obama’s favorite tactic was always, ‘You know, you can either agree with me or…there are two sides to this argument, my side and then those evil morons who don’t know anything known as Republicans. Why won’t they meet me in the middle? I’m always right, and they’re a bunch of racist idiots.’ That was the tone from the Obama administration. The media prop them up the whole time,” he said.
Sexton said the media will work overtime to praise Biden for “a great transition, especially on the issue of covid.”
Sexton said for many Democrats, politics is religion, and “so even when they have a false prophet, even when they have to pretend some clown is their temporary messiah to save the country, they are willing to do it because what else do they have?”
Trump has maintained that when the dust settles and the votes are counted and certified, he will emerge victorious.
Kayleigh McEnany, the White House press secretary, was on Fox Business on Friday and askd if Trump would attend Biden’s inauguration.
“I think the president will attend his own inauguration,” she said.
