National radio host Buck Sexton unloaded on the mainstream media last week over its breathless coverage of Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury,” blasting news outlets for obsessing over the book while Trump’s list of accomplishments grows day by day.
“Amazing to see so much information coming in. New stories that you would think would be things that would get much of the media worked up. That they would have a lot to run with here; 250,000 jobs in December, two million fewer people on food stamps than Obama’s last year in office,” said Buck.
“There’s very little focus on that. Very little focus on Trump’s expansion of off-shore drilling. The continued roaring stock market,” he added. “This is stuff that if you had a Democrat president you’d be hearing about the genius of whoever the Democratic president was.”
“Because you have Trump instead, what’s the focus been on? The book,” Sexton said.
“Here we are, talking about a book about the President that is so tabloid-esque and also nonsensical. Some of the things that he asserts just can’t possibly be true. And he’s admitted some of that today himself. To me that strikes me as an indicator that there’s a whole lot more that we would want to know about all of this,” he added.
