National radio host Buck Sexton called-on Congressional Republicans to get moving on immigration ahead of the 2018 midterms; adding there’s “not a lot of time” to handle the issue before voters head to the polls.
“This is a case where there’s not a lot of time,” said Buck. “They have to do something on the issue of immigration, they have to actually push legislation. If the Democrats stonewall then fine, at least that gets the country talking about it.”
“Once Republicans are on the record voting for e-verify, or a wall, or any number of these things then we can hold them to voting for it again if they stay in the majority, and maybe we can get something done,” he added.
“Short of that, all we’re going to see is exactly what we’ve seen; inertia, excuse making, not enough action on immigration. I like that Trump’s out there talking about it. He’s amazing live, he’s one of the most gifted live performers of my lifetime,” Sexton said.
