Speaking on ‘America Now’ Tuesday night, host Buck Sexton ripped “imbeciles” in the mainstream media who blamed the NRA for the devastating mass shooting at a Texas church, despite the fact a former NRA instructor engaged the gunman and likely saved dozens of lives.
“Isn’t it interesting that the leftist media and celebrities and distorted, loud-mouth, big-platform imbeciles out there blamed the NRA for this mass shooting based on no evidence, based on nothing but their antipathy, their hatred for the Second Amendment and for gun-owners,” said Buck.
“In fact, an NRA instructor intervened, put his life in jeopardy, put shots down-range and a shot on target and a shot into this evil mass murderer, Devin Kelley. Very likely prevented a follow-on mass shooting,” he added.
“He wasn’t wearing body-armor because he was worried about what would happen to him inside the church. He was prepared to go down shooting against police officers, and wanted to have an advantage against them,” Sexton said.
“I want to focus on the hero. His humility, his clear religiosity, his relationship with God. These are all ideas that are certainly very much related,” he added. “He says he is not a hero, he most certainly is a hero.”
